Dave has been a certified diver since 1974.  Some years ago he began to think, as a boat owner himself, that there was a better way to run a dive service, and that there were many aspects to the then-existing services that could be improved.  Reliability was a big one.  Costs seemed too high to him also, and sometines the level of training and expertise of the divers left something to be desired.  Dave thought he could do a better job.

He started out doing all the diving himself.  As the business grew, he began to hire divers to serve the expansion of his customer base.  But getting commercial divers trained in pleasure boat zinc replacement and hull cleaning proved to be difficult - most of the commercial divers in the Puget Sound area were trained to do other types of commercial diving, such as working on oil-rigs, and didn't possess the skills and experience Dave needed.

So Dave developed his own training program, and began to hire competent divers and train them himself.  Dave's is now the largest and still fastest -growing dive service of its type in the south Puget Sound metropolitan area.
